How We Work With Facility and Operations Teams
Whatever your hood and exhaust system needs, Southwest Commercial Hood Cleaning handles it. Our trained technicians inspect the full system, explain what they find, and clean it to bare metal so you stay compliant and ready for inspection.
A certificate of insurance before we arrive. $6M general liability, COI sent to your office in advance. Additional-insured endorsement available on request.
Documented scope, not a line item. You get a written record of what was cleaned, what wasn’t, and why — with dated before-and-after photos of each access point.
Scheduling built around your operation. After close, overnight, between meal periods, or during a planned shutdown. We work when your kitchen doesn’t.
One point of contact. The same person handles your quote, your service, and your report. No dispatch queue.
You’ll receive photos and a written summary of your system’s condition with an honest recommendation on interval. No pressure to add services you don’t need.
The Kitchens We Work In
Every commercial kitchen has grease in the exhaust system. What differs is who’s asking about it — a fire marshal, a health inspector, a corporate facilities office, or an insurance underwriter — and what they need to see. Here’s how we work with each.
Restaurants and Bars
Your fire marshal and your insurance carrier are looking at the same thing: how much grease is in the system, and when it was last removed. We clean hoods, ducts, and fans to bare metal, then leave you with dated before-and-after photos and a written service report you can hand to either one. Most single-kitchen restaurants are done in one visit, scheduled after close.
Schools and Universities
District and campus kitchens run on a fixed calendar and a fixed budget cycle. We schedule around academic terms — summer break, in-service days, or after the last lunch period — and provide the service records your facilities office needs for the annual file.
Healthcare Facilities
Hospital and long-term-care kitchens answer to more than one authority, and the documentation has to satisfy all of them. You get before-and-after photos, a written scope of exactly what was cleaned, and a certificate of insurance on file before we arrive. Work is scheduled around meal service so patient dining is never interrupted.
Hotels and Resorts
Banquet kitchens, line kitchens, and rooftop bars often run on separate exhaust systems with different cleaning intervals. We map what you actually have, clean each system on the interval it needs, and work overnight windows so nothing reaches the guest experience.
Corporate Campuses and Cafeterias
Corporate dining is usually managed by a facilities team or a food service contractor, not a chef. That makes the deliverable paperwork as much as it is a clean hood. You get a documented service record for the building file and one point of contact who knows the property.
Multi-Location Operators
Running hood cleaning across several kitchens usually means several vendors, several invoices, and no consistent record. We service every location on one schedule, one invoice, and one reporting format — so you can see at a glance which sites are current and which are coming due.

What Deferred Hood Cleaning Actually Costs
Grease in your exhaust system isn’t a housekeeping problem you can schedule around. It’s a fire risk, and it’s the first thing an inspector looks at.
Buildup rarely happens overnight. It starts small — a film on the filters, darker residue in the duct, a fan running louder than it used to, a faint smoke smell when the line gets busy. Those signs compound. By the time they’re obvious, the fix is no longer routine.
- Fire risk that grows as grease accumulates in hoods, ducts, and exhaust fans — and questions from your insurance carrier if something happens
- Minor maintenance that gets deferred until it becomes an emergency repair at emergency pricing
- Failed health or fire inspections that interrupt service and follow you in the public record
- Smoke, odors, and poor airflow that make the kitchen harder to work in and harder to staff
Commercial Hood Cleaning FAQs
Yes. We carry $3M in coverage — general liability, umbrella and excess liability, and workers’ compensation — and we issue COI endorsements for new accounts as a matter of course. If your facility requires higher limits, we can raise them. Just tell us what your contract calls for.

You get a report per system, in the same format, on the same schedule, so they can be rolled into one document without anyone reconciling six different layouts. One point of contact for the whole portfolio, and one invoice if that’s easier for your finance department.
That’s how we work by default. Overnight, early morning, between service periods, or on whatever window your building will give us. A hospital kitchen that can’t stop running and a school cafeteria on a district calendar need different scheduling, and we plan for both before the first visit.
Cory, the owner, on (602) 332-4444. Posted hours are 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday, but the crews work nights and the phone is on. You won’t get a dispatch queue or a different technician re-explaining your loading dock every visit.
For most hood and exhaust cleaning requests, we can schedule service quickly, often on your next available off-hours window depending on your location and needs. If you’re dealing with heavy grease buildup, a failed or upcoming inspection, we treat that as a priority and work to get a crew to you as soon as possible. When you reach out, just let us know what’s going on and we’ll give you a straight answer on timing.
